I have over a decade experience working in the aviation industry through publishing detailed flight route analysis, covering all airline services from, to and within the UK and Ireland. Flight mapping had a broad portfolio of blue chip clients including legacy airlines like British Airways, low-cost operators such as easyJet, and holiday operators like Thomson. We also worked with leading travel distribution suppliers such as Expedia and Ebookers, as well as price comparison sites such as Skyscanner.
Whereas other travel portals tended to focus on price, Flightmapping.com always concentrated on the availability of direct flight routes, and our analysis covered topics such as choice of airports in cities with competitive markets, motivations to travel, multiple city itineraries, and key differences in services between low cost, leisure and legacy carriers.
In 2004, I appeared at the Public Inquiry concerning the temporary terminal at Coventry Airport, highlighting the benefits the airport brought to the local area, whilst also being fiercely critical of their complete lack of a surface access strategy.
I can offer consulting or editorial services on topics such as:
Future route analysis.
Surface Access Strategies.
Route continuity appraisal (for organisations considering investment reliant on an existing flight route).
